Personal
Story Behind Entertainment Career Consulting and its Founder/President, Gregg
Moscot:
This company was started because it
is something I wish I had access to when I graduated from Ithaca College as a
Communications major in 1994. I knew that I wanted to be a film and television
producer, but had no clear direction of how to get there. Meeting with an
Industry professional would have greatly helped me in narrowing my focus and
figuring out the best way to steer my career during its initial stages.
My career began in 1994 as a Set
Production Assistant on a CBS sitcom named Cybill, which starred Cybill
Shepherd. After two seasons on Cybill, I was offered the Assistant Production
Coordinator position on a short-lived ABC series named Townies, which was then cancelled after 15 episodes. I then landed a new series
called Dharma & Greg, which evolved into 5 plus years on a hit
television show, and enabled me to rise through the ranks to Associate
Producer. Dharma & Greg was cancelled in 2002, therein I was transitioned
over to a new series for CBS, Still Standing. I worked on Still Standing for a year before I started my own production company with a partner, where we developed
a variety of television and film properties. Since then, I returned to my television roots and have worked on the The
Big Bang Theory, a reality/game show for ABC and Ashton Kutcher called Opportunity Knocks, the CW docu-series Fly Girls, the new Gordon Ramsay series Master Chef, a variety of pilots and the web series phenomenon, Lonelygirl15. I’ve experienced the ups and downs
across a wide range of genres, and am able to take all that I have learned and
share it with the next generation.
The decisions we make today will
affect us tomorrow and in the years to come. Making the right choices early on
allows us to have a jump start on our long-term goals. We are here to provide
the guidance that will allow you to do just that.
